- Fill with liquid at temperatures less than 50C (122?F).Lower temperatures are recommended for liquid that stress crack high molecular weight, high-density polyethylene (HM-HDPE).
- Allow temperature to cool to ambient temperature before sealing closures to recommended torque, as per closing instructions.
- Fill drums to rated capacity for optimum stacking performance.
- Drums should not be heated to more than 130F in order to avoid softening, and a reduction in the drum’s strength.
